Landor & Hawa Granted Patent for Zippered Expansion on Hardside Luggage
Indianapolis - December 2006 - The United States Patent Office has granted Landor & Hawa International Ltd., patent number 7,143,878 covering a zippered expansion on it's curved polycarbonate hardside luggage.
Said a Landor & Hawa spokesman, "This U.S. Patent follows the previous issuance of our UK Patent and strengthens our position in the world market as a leader in technology and design. As such, we will not hesitate to protect our intellectual property rights wherever and whenever a violation occurs".

Kids at Riley Hospital for Children Prepare to Go Home with
Landor & Hawa Backpacks and Wallets
Indianapolis – November 2006 – Hundreds of children at the Indianapolis Riley Hospital for Children found a happy escape and encouragement for their transition home with a new Landor & Hawa backpack and wallet. The Child Life Department passed out the backpacks and wallets to patients who are getting ready to leave the hospital and return home.
The Landor & Hawa products “were a big hit!” said Melissa Williams, Riley Hospital child life specialist.
The Child Life Department seeks to minimize the stress and anxiety children experience during hospitalization and help them transition home after their stay. Indianapolis-based luggage manufacturer, Landor & Hawa donated 800 backpacks and wallets for the children.
